Welcome to 91快播 University's Health Services. Whether you need a physical or a sick visit, students can expect quality, evidence-based care from our Family Nurse Practitioner.

Students can make appointments for a wide range of health care needs, including diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses, routine physical exams, and rapid testing for UTI, strep, FLU, or pregnancy. We can order labs you may need for clinicals.

*Please note- We do not prescribe any controlled substances.*

Hours and Location

The Health Service’s office is located on the first floor of Theinert Hall. Appointments are available with the Family Nurse Practitioner on the following days and times:

Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Immunization Policy

All students must be immunized in accordance with Massachusetts state law.

Required Immunizations:

TDAP Vaccine (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis)
Two doses of MMR Vaccine* (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Doses given at least four weeks apart, at or after 12 months of age.
Three doses of Hepatitis B vaccine* Doses given at 0,1,6 months.
Tuberculosis risk assessment/PPD or IGRA if high risk. TB testing of high-risk students only should take place no sooner than 6 months prior to college entrance.
Meningococcal Vaccine (ACWY) required -< 21 years of age. One dose -> 16 years of age or signed waiver.
Two doses of Varicella Vaccine*(Chicken pox). Doses given at least 4 weeks apart.

Recommended Immunizations:

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)
Hepatitis A
Pneumococcal vaccine if indicated
Meningitis B Trumenba or Bexsero
Influenza (annually)

* Laboratory proof of immunity is acceptable for MMR, hepatitis B, and varicella requirements. Reliable history of varicella documented by a health care provider or birth before 1980 in the United States is acceptable for the varicella requirement. Birth before 1957 in the U.S. is acceptable for the MMR requirement.

Emergencies

In the case of a medical emergency call 9-1-1. If on the Longmeadow or East Longmeadow campus, have someone else call Campus Public Safety at 413.565.1225 (if using a campus phone dial extension 1225). All officers are trained First Responders.

Please Note: There is no charge to be seen in Health Services. You may incur charges for labs or prescriptions from your health insurance carrier.

If Health Services is closed and you have a medical urgency that needs assessment within a day, seek care at a local emergency room or urgent care facility.

If you have non-urgent clinical concerns and have the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), you can contact a 24/7 nurse line that can answer health questions. Please call 1.888.247.BLUE (2583).

Students should contact Health Services directly regarding questions about their health or medical records. A signed HIPPA release is required for the Health Center staff to communicate with any other individual.
