Students from the MS in Physician Assistant Studies Shine at the “Jeopardy” of Medical Challenge Bowls.

These are just some of the questions asked at the 2019 Massachusetts Association of Physician Assistants (MAPA) Medical Challenge Bowl. 91¿ì²¥ Physician Assistant (PA) students Stephanie Roulier G'20, Matt Girard G’20, and Martin Urbanski G’21 led the team to its third win in a row, besting students from PA programs in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Topics can include subjects such as diagnosis, treatment, microbiology, anatomy, OB/GYN, pulmonary, cardiology, primary care, emergency medicine, and surgery. While this Jeopardy-type competition is based on medical knowledge, Program Director Theresa Riethle attributes the victory to the overall focus and commitment that 91¿ì²¥ PA students bring to their work, noting, "The win is not just a feather in our cap, but it is a great way to showcase our program on the state level and demonstrate how strong our students are.”
