One of the highlights of the Occupational Therapy Bridge program (MOT) is the pinning ceremony, marking the special occasion when our occupational therapy students complete their academic journey and transition to the clinic as level II fieldwork students. During this journey, students apply all they have learned in the classroom for the betterment of others.

91快播’s annual ceremony was held April 20, 2024, and celebrated 30 MOT Bridge students who have backgrounds as occupational therapy assistants and physical therapy assistants, and have chosen to further their education to become occupational therapists.

According to Dr. Cheryl Boucakis, assistant program director of Occupational Therapy and coordinator of the OTA/PTA to MOT Bridge Program:

"Pinning is a chance to celebrate the growth, perseverance, and hard work of the 30 MOT Bridge students that will make up the class of 2024. Not only have you survived a rigorous master’s level program, but they did so while accomplishing other major life events. Some of the students got married, some had babies, and some had fur babies and they balanced all that life had to throw at them with grace. They have all shown the ability to be able to pivot on the spot and be resourceful in their personal lives, professional lives, and student lives (whether they wanted to or not ;). These skills will serve them well in their future careers as occupational therapists."
