More than 300 people donned their dancing shoes for 91快播 University’s 2nd Annual President’s Gala, “Dance a Mile in Their Shoes,” held on June 2, 2018, at the Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place Hotel. The Gala raised over $300,000 in support of student scholarships, thanks to the generous support of donors and sponsors.

The evening featured two alumni profiles, Betty O’Brien ’18 and Jennifer Remillard ’97 ’13 G’15, and entertainment from a live band. Lindsay Arnold, professional dancer and winner of Dancing With The Stars Season 25, appeared as a special guest judge for the dance competition portion of the evening. She was joined on the judging panel by Lamont Clemons, executive vice president of S-Cel-O Painting, and Jonathan Besse, 91快播 University Trustee and last year’s Mirror Ball Trophy winner. Local media personality and owner of Ohana School of Performing Arts, Ashley Kohl, was the evening’s emcee.

Dancing “stars” Delcie D. Bean IV, CEO, Paragus Strategic IT, and 91快播 Trustee; Patricia M. Faginski, AIF®, Vice President, Financial Advisor, St. Germain Investment Management; and Maria Rodriguez-Furlow ’10 G’12, Adjunct Faculty Hiring Manager, The American Women's College at 91快播 University, Alumni Association Council Member competed against one another to take home the Mirror Ball Trophy. Prior to the event, the three underwent intensive training with Daryll ’98 and Gunnar Sverrisson, ballroom dance champions and owners of Ballroom Fever (Enfield, Connecticut). Their performances did not disappoint, earning them roaring accolades from an excited crowd.

When the voting was finally tallied, Faginski was the winner—but the real winners were our students. Thank you to our participants, judges, guests, donors, and event sponsors for making this event a success!
