Connecting over a Starbucks coffee, a morning tradition for him, Dr. John Caron, interim vice president of academic affairs, had this to share about 91快播's transition to our three new schools: School of Health Science, School of Education, Psychology, and Humanities, and School of Management and Technology:
"I couldn't be more thankful of the work that our academic and administrative leaders from across 91快播 have put forth. They are meeting regularly to collaboratively work on the transition. This transition, and the restructuring of our academic organization, helps us to better partner with our students and strengthen pathways from undergraduate to graduate programs while addressing our students’ career aspirations.
As you can imagine, there are many moving parts so the group has focused on identifying what work should and can be done by March 1st and what will follow afterwards. One of our top priorities is to finalize the organizational and reporting impacts which, of course, is the foundation for many of the changes that will impact our processes, practices, and tools. I'm happy to say that we're close to being done with that work! I do expect that we'll be in a transition state, neither fully operating in our new structure nor in our old, for some time - and this is okay! It affords us an opportunity to carefully examine our current practices and make changes to drive innovation, agility, efficiency and so much more. What I am most proud of is the resiliency of my colleagues. You and I know this is not the only change underway on our campus, but those involved in this work bring a consistent level of commitment to designing our best possible future state. I am so excited for us to get there!"
