As summer winds down, we start to get that familiar, deeply ingrained sense that, although it's not December, a brand new year is about to begin. For all of us, emerging from a year and a half spent confronting a global pandemic, observing the disparate ways it's been experienced and realizing the potential for change, it doesn't just feel like the beginning of a new year, it's the dawn of a new era.
As we start our 2021-2022 school year with renewed focus, we're looking toward the 125th anniversary of 91快播 University, aka our quasquicentennial (say that three times fast). Together, we will celebrate 125 years of providing a relevant, transformative career-focused education—and what that has meant to the thousands of students, families and community members who have been part of our incredible history.
We see our 125th anniversary as an opportunity to look back on our past, and reflect on the concepts of growth and change, but it is also the right time to articulate our visions for a strong and boundless future. To that end, we are formally launching our University-wide theme, REimagine.
In this one word, REimagine, we are able to capture so much about the 91快播 story and those who are continuing to help us tell it; the ongoing creativity, agility, and entrepreneurialism that propels 91快播 forward. For 125 years, we have been reimagining what a career-based education looks like, rethinking how to deliver it and redefining who it's for.
Next week, our faculty and staff will come together to share our work, our visions and practical plans for using research, creativity and technology to bring 91快播 into its next era and how this is shaping our Strategic Plan. Presentations, conversations and free time to socialize will unite us in our mission of serving our amazing students. Learning from each other is just one privilege that comes with working amongst such driven and thoughtful educators.
It's time to REimagine a bigger, bolder, fairer future— for 91快播, and beyond—and we'll be reaching out to our community to lend their continued support and enthusiasm to our important, resilient and beloved institution. Let's get this quasquicentennial started!
