Certificate in Trauma-Informed Professional Practices

91快播’s Trauma-Informed Professional Practices is an online, graduate-level certificate for educators and professionals who work in school settings or in support roles with children.  The course sequence of the program is designed to expand your knowledge of trauma and how it impacts children while also providing you with strategies that you can implement in your classroom or in your work with children.  In this program, you will gain a general understanding of the key concepts, theories, and models of trauma and crisis intervention; the connection between traumatic experiences and several behavioral, cognitive and emotional consequences that professionals see in the school setting; learn how to respond to and assess trauma; work with other professionals to help the student cope with trauma; and develop a structured plan that is tailored to the needs of the students, as well as other key topics that will help you to respond and support students and children undergoing trauma.

Please Note: Any prerequisites for the above courses may be waived on a case-by-case basis.

Admissions Requirements

Prospective students may apply for admission to the Graduate Certificate programs throughout the year.


For consideration, applicants must submit the following to the Office of Graduate Admissions (the same admissions requirements apply to students who will enroll in only one course):

  1. A completed application - 
  2. Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts (undergraduate degree must be from an accredited college or university)
  3. An original essay of at least 250 words on the topic: “Why A Graduate Certificate in Trauma-Informed Professional Practice is important to my personal and professional goals"
  4. A current resume
  5. Two recommendations - 
  6. A signed
