Emily Lewis, MS, EdD

Dr. Emily Lewis teaches courses for 91快播 University’s Higher Education Administration program. Dr. Lewis brings extensive industry experiences that consist of working for corporations, non-profit, and academic organizations. She began her career over 20 years ago, leading the instructional and curriculum design and development processes for the online teaching and learning environment. Dr. Lewis has served on internal committees and as an independent consultant evaluating the quality and effectiveness of online academic programs. In her various higher education administrator positions, she was responsible for leading institutional strategic initiatives, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and leading the curriculum development, and accreditation review processes.

In her position of Academic Dean, Dr. Lewis was responsible for leading all undergraduate and graduate academic programs and the online instructional design processes. She was also accountable for the recruitment, hiring, professional development, and evaluation of all instructors teaching online courses. Another one of her responsibilities in the position of Academic Dean was to conduct research to identify the next new program initiatives.

One of her responsibilities in the position of Assistant Dean at 91快播 University was to assist the Dean with the design, development, and delivery of an online degree completion program for The American Women’s College. She has served in various Director positions leading the institutions’ instructional design, continuing education, and curriculum development processes for their online undergraduate and graduate programs.

Dr. Lewis has been teaching traditional face-to-face, blended, and online courses for over 25 years. In her position as Director of Support for Research and Learning, she led numerous research initiatives. One of her research initiatives involved implementing accessibility and usability strategies to support the learning needs of diverse learners. Her other competencies consist of using various types of multimedia and other educational technologies in the online learning environment to improve students learning experience. She is an expert in implementing adult education theories, concepts, and principles into the curriculum design. Dr. Lewis’ passion is to research and support continual quality curriculum enhancements that can improve students’ online learning success.
